The homeowners strived to create a space where they could walk their entire property safely with areas of interest along the way. Our process was to collaborate with the client to ensure their needs and wants were achieved. We focused on each garden area separately to ensure they have a unique feel. We then plotted out the path lighting spacing to ensure steps were lit well and paths had the proper cadence to ensure the walkways were lit well but also be conscious of the daytime feel that too many path lights would take away from. Down lighting became the next feature we focused on to ensure dark areas were addressed and specific features lit. Lighting was added as the garden expanded and currently, we are working on a sound feature in the newest garden area to cut out road noise.
