It was made very clear, at the beginning of the project, that the fireplace was a “must have” on the clients wish list. The client requested stone for the fireplace and the design had to be, “unique, different and charming” No less than fifty variants were drawn before the final design was chosen. Hard lines, from the angular stone, were broken up and softened by round boulders to provide the required look. The specific boulders that were used were carefully chosen, at the quarry, to provide the exact scale, shape and color needed. It can not be stressed enough that each part of this fireplace is completely custom and unique. Every stone has its exact purpose to fulfill the design specifications.
