Community Health and Healing Garden

The Community Health and Healing Garden was a project centered on community and the celebration of outdoor green space. Located in the Brighton Park neighborhood, the garden was designed and constructed to respond not only to the needs of the health center, but to the community at large. Visitors are naturally drawn into the garden through thoughtful pathway design, guiding them through native planting beds as they enter and exit the facility. The garden facilitates opportunities for programming, from edible garden and healthy food programs utilizing the raised beds to group fitness in the courtyard. The garden successfully provides programming, nature engagement, and beauty for all who visit.
