We were able to use first-rate materials on the design of what we are calling the Hillcroft Irish Gardens, but some water elements are missing: the ornamental pool at its heart was meant to descend by a water channel into a lower, larger swimming pool. By way of compromise, the present pool is swimmable, with oxygenation and skimmers in place. The property is large and was easily accessed, though the relatively steep slope posed somewhat of a challenge in bringing construction equipment onto the site. The great visual attractiveness of the property and our additions to it is enhanced by neighboring woods around the property, lending a natural boundary and providing privacy. Landscaping features include more trees, hedges, ferns and flowering plants, and abundant dimensional stonework.
