Serenity in Water

By Reflections Water Gardens

Elegant. Simple. Serene. Our client's request was for us to design, build and install a water feature that would provide a place of respite and quiet reflection for families visiting loved ones' remains at the garden mausoleum crypts within this south suburban cemetery. The client first envisioned a rill with water spilling gently down the center of a wide, sloping concrete walkway. They later came back to us with a request for fountains. We engineered and installed three raised black-granite rectangular bubbling sculptures, designed to mirror one another in dimension and proportion. This creates a tiered effect visually and emphasizes the linear aspect of the walkway. Each sculpture has its own pump and filtration system. Water is recirculated from the basins. Central bubblers within each sculpture provide a soothing sound. Gentle waves spill over the edge of the granite. Gutters accented by river rocks encircle the base of each sculpture.
